Description

This document contains a presentation prepared by the NSA analyzing the TOR router. TOR is a service designed to protect online anonymity partially funded by the US due to its use by dissents in repressive regimes such as Syria and China. The NSA's capabilities in de-anonymizing TOR users are described, along with analysis and hypotheses regarding similar GCHQ programs. Potential means of disrupting the TOR network are also discussed including the use of QUANTUM and QUANTUMCOOKIE attacks, forcing TOR clients to release stored cookies.
