This document is an assessment report from the SIRDCC Speech Technology Working Group on the current state of speech to text (STT) technology. The working group was established by the Securiy Service and the GCHQ. The report discusses competing models for voice data processing, the third party research teams involved, including Cambridge University , SAIL labs, and IBM, and evaluates the software based on bulk transcription of audio data and business applicability. The report also includes a sample transcription and list of 100 best recognized words.
