Description

This document is a selection of presentation slides prepared by GCHQ's Joint Threat Research Intelligence Group (JTRIG), CSEC and the NSA. They describe several surveillance programs. The first of these is HACIENDA, a program that involved port scanning entire countries, that became a standard surveillance tool by Five Eyes Intelligence Agencies in 2009. The document also describes LANDMARK, a tool which is used to expand the Five Eyes’ network of Operational Relay Boxes (ORBs) and other compromised machines located outside of Five Eyes territory. Another tool, OLYMPIA, automates the process of pursuing leads identified using the HACIENDA post scanning tool.
